tl;dr

Mermaid charts or their PNG renderings are not stored on our servers. Only piece of information stored in a database is information about Slack's OAuth access to your workspace. Nothing is being shared with third parties.

Thank you for choosing Mermaid Preview, a App for Slack designed to generate PNG previews of Mermaid.js charts. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully and if you do not agree with its terms, please refrain from using our App.

2. Data We Collect

Only data saved in a database are App for Slack installation details, provided by Slack. This data is deleted when you uninstall the App from your workspace. We do not store any data that we don't need for our operations.

3. How We Use Your Data

Mermaid charts you submit are processed only in-memory and are not stored on our servers. We do not use your data for any other purpose than generating PNG previews and uploading them to your Slack workspace.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Mermaid charts and their PNG renderings are not stored on our servers. They are generated on the fly and immediately uploaded to your Slack workspace. Even if the upload fails or is canceled, we don't persist any copy.

5. Data Sharing and Third Party Access

Nothing is being shared with third parties.

6. User's Rights

Data Deletion: Your data is deleted when you uninstall the App from your workspace. You may contact us to request deletion of your data at any time on hello@mermaid-preview.com.

7. Security Measures

Application uses encryption where possible. Application does not try to read anything from your Slack workspace that's not explicitly submitted to it through a /mermaid command. Application does not store any data that's not necessary for its operations.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If this policy would ever need to be updated, it will be done publicly in the Application's repository at https://github.com/JackuB/mermaid-preview.
